ROBO-ONE 25th Biped Robot Fight Tournamnt (Sep 13-14 , 2014)


ROBO-ONE 25th sponsored by ROBO-ONE Committee, took place at National Museum of Emerging Science and Innovation in Tokyo on Sep 13th and 14th, 2014.    ROBO-ONE Light 9th took place on Feb 13th, 4.5m Footrace took place as the preliminary ROBO-ONE Tournament (Light Class, Under 3kg) on Sep 13th and the main event ROBO-ONE 25th Tournament (Light Class, Under 3kg) took place on Sep 14th.

Regulations of ROBO-ONE 25th
The major regulation was the weight of robot, which was 3 kg or under 3 kg.  Details of the body regulation were same as those of the 24th.

ROBO-ONE 25th was held as the tournament with 48 robots upper place robots in the preliminary 4.5 m Footrace including winners of the local robot competitions.

4.5 m Footrace
Four meters and 50 cm Footrace was carried out as the preliminary competition to select 48 robots and to decide the tournament order.  One hundred and one robots joined the preliminary 4.5 m Footrace.

Robots had to walk 4.5 m course with 90 cm width within 1 minute.  In the 24rd,  thin rubbers under 2 mm was pasted on the board in the course.   Each robot time record taken 4.5 m walk, or the distance from start point if robot could not walk within 1 minute, or robot fell down from the course was recorded.

Each robot tried just one time Footrace. The 4.5 m course pasted with thin rubbers in the course, seemed to be not flat.  Therefore, it was not easy to walk through 4.5 m course for most of robots.    All robots walked the course within 1 minute, passed the preliminary competition.   The result of the preliminary 4.5 m Foot race is here.

The 1st place was Frosty by 6.67 seconds, the 2nd place was Garoo by 12.05 seconds and the 3rd place was Chromkid by 12.39 seconds.

Just 60 robots could reach the goal within 1 minute. Upper 13 robots were under 20 seconds, the 14th to 38th place robots were under 30 seconds and the 46th could join final fight by 37.4 seconds.

ROBO-ONE 25th Tournament (Light Class, 3 kg or Under)
 Side punch has been prohibited since ROBO-ONE 23rd Tournament in the robot fight.

The tournament winner was Simple Fighter by Zeno.  The 2nd place was Gargoyle KID by Yoshida Familia.  The 3rd place was Chromkid by Kupapa and the 4th place was Gattender by Sima-san.   Result of the tournament is here.

ROBO-ONE 24th Biped Robot Fight Tournamnt (Feb 15-16 , 2014)

ROBO-ONE 24th sponsored by ROBO-ONE Committee, took place at HALE TOKYO in Tokyo on Feb 15th and 16th, 2014.    ROBO-ONE Light 8th took place on Feb 15th, 4.5m Footrace took place as the preliminary ROBO-ONE Tournament (Light Class, Under 3kg) on Feb 15th and the main event ROBO-ONE 24th Tournament (Light Class, Under 3kg) took place on Feb 16th.

The 1st place was HIGHLANDER by 11.9 seconds, the 2nd place was Lio by 13.5 seconds and the 3rd place was G Saaga by 13.54 seconds.

Just 45 robots could reach the goal within 1 minute. Upper 12 robots were under 20 seconds, the 13th to 25th place robots were under 30 seconds and 43th could join final fight by 50.53 seconds.

ROBO-ONE 24th Tournament (Light Class, 3 kg or Under)
 Side punch was prohibited in the ROBO-ONE 24th Tournament as a new regulation in the robot fight.

The tournament winner was Obelisk by Team of Shibaura Institute of Technology.  The 2nd place was Leghorn by Nakayan-san.  The 3rd place was Haduki by ROBO-Mecha Kobo.  The 4th place was Ifureat by Akitsuka-san.  Result of the tournament is here.
