The 4th ROBO-ONE SOCCER in Kawasaki ( May 22, 2010)
The 4th RBO-ONE SOCCERtook place at Institute of Industrial Promotion Kawasaki Hall in Kawasaki on May 22nd 2010. The 1st Soccer Game of ROBO-ONE was carried out as ROBO-ONE Special CUP on June 30th and July 1st in 2007. Then every year holds game.
There is a big difference between ROBO-ONE SOCCER and KONDO CUPsoccer. The soccer field of ROBO-ONE SOCCER is made from a lot of joint carpet (30 cm x 30 cm). Therefore, it is necessary to make motions different from those on the smooth field of KONDO CUP. Another big difference is the number of playing robots. Four robots play in the ROBO-ONE SOCCER different from 3 robots in the KONDO CUP. Therefore, one team has to consist of 4 robots at least, most of teams consist of 5 robots including a substitute robot. The body regulation, the same that of ROBO-ONE and the soccer rule are here. Robots have to pass the regulation check, which is carried out before the games as the following video.
Ten teams joined the soccer game and teams were divided into two groups. Group A members were Kanto-Branch, Espresso-Pacchigi, SKY, SHIBAURA INSTITUTE OF TECHNOLOGY and RFC-Aichi. Group B members were Hamamatsu Technical High School, Trinity, The University of Electro-Communications, Tokotoko & Metalic-4 Brothers and RFC Bamboo☆BridgeⅡ. Each team had 2 games in the group. The 1st and 2nd place of the each group could join the final tournament.
The first and 2nd places of Group B were RFC Bamboo☆BridgeⅡand Trinity respectively. The first place of Group A were Kanto–Branch. However, there were three second place teams in the A Group, therefore penalty shoot-outs were carried out with 3 teams as SKY, SHIBAURA INSTITUTE OF TECHNOLOGY and RFC-Aichi. Finally, SKY won the penalty shoot-outs and got the 2nd place. The video of penalty shoot-outs is as follows;
The Champion of the 4th ROBO-ONE SOCCER was Trinity. Trinity was also the 3rd ROBO-ONE SOCCER champion. The 2nd place was RFC Bamboo☆BridgeⅡ and the 3rd place was SKY. The videos are as follows
Group A had 5 games.
Kanto-Branch vs Espresso-Pacchigi. Kanto-Branch won the game 1-0.
I have been enjoying biped robot since 2004, when KHR-1 was put on the market, and collecting information of hobby robots. I would like to upload information about hobby robots in Japan for the hobbyists of biped robot all over the world. As my ability for uploading is limitted, I will introduce just news of product, kit or parts and information of competition etc. with picutures or videos.
