The 10th Wandahoo Robot Carnival will take place in Mitaka City, Tokyo on Dec 7th, 2013

The 10th Wandahoo Robot Carnival will be held at Mitaka City Public Hall in Mitaka City, Tokyo on Dec. 7th, 2013.

The 10th Wandahoo Robot Carnival took place on Dec. 7th, 2013.  Sanzai-san reported the details in his blog (in Japasense).
 `Ustream Wandahoo Robot Carnival` is also keeping all videos.

The competition will be shown on `Ustream Wandahoo Robot Carnival` from 12:00 to 18:00 , Dec 7th 2013. (JST).

Wandahoo Robot Carnival is sponsored by Ishikawa-san and supported by the members of Kanto ROBOT Practice（Kanto-gumi　Robot Training Meeting）. Ishikawa-san and his stuffs are busy preparing USTREAM Live system of the Carnival now. Entry of the Carnival will finish on Nov. 30th, and 30 robots will join.

The Carnival is robot competition consisted with various four type games such as Dash 2000 (competition of 2 robots, 2 m U-turn course foot race; each robot gets points depended on the order of record time), Bottle Traction (pushing or pulling a basket with 500 or 1000 ml bottles for 2 m within 1 minute; points are multiplication of number of bottles and distance carried), Dice Shot (dice soccer of 2 robots; each robot gets points depended on the spots of dice shot for 2 minutes) and Cubs (team game of 3 robots each, carrying cubs to own territory for 2 minutes; winner team members get points) and Robot Fight with the best 4 robots. Therefore, this Carnival is called `Robot Olympic`.

Each robot gets points from each game. In the case of team game, winner team member robots gets points. Four robots gotten many points can join the final tournament of Robot Fight. The rest robots have Ramble Fights. Those games were planned by Ishikawa-san.
It is necessary for winner that the robot has a high activity with performance and also good luck.


The 1st Carnival took place on July 16, 2006 and then the Carnival held twice in January and July every year. From 2010, the Carnival takes place in July once a year. Robot Competition @ 58th Riko-Exhibition of Waseda University (Nov 5, 2011)

Robot Competition @ 58th Riko-Exhibition of Waseda University took place at Nishi-Waseda Campus, Tokyo on Nov. 5, 2011.  Robot Obstacle Race and Robot Battle tournament were carried out.

Robot Obstacle Race
Robot Obstacle Race Course had 4 kinds of obstacle such as Hurdle (30 cm height, 91 cm width), Corns, Chopsticks-road and Door.  Two robots started from right side and left side.  The winner was robot reached to the goal in the short time.  Fifteen robots joined the race.  The 1st place was Corteju 23 seconds 38, the 2nd place was G-Saaga 26 seconds 88 and the 3rd place was Chrom-kid 32 seconds 43.  The video of all races was as follows;.



Robot Battle Tournament
Nineteen robots joined the robot fight tournament. About the half of robot owners were students and the rest were working members of the society. The winner of the tournament was G-Saaga (Igaa-san). The 2nd place was Garoo (Kumama-san). The 3rd place was Corteju (Shibaura Institute Technology SRDC Team Corteju).  The No.1 popular robot was also G-Saaga. Videos of the tournament were as follows:

Robot Battle Final, Garoo vs G-Saaga. The winner was G-Saaga.

Robot Fight Competition in Waseda University (Nov 8, 2009)

The 2nd Robot Fight Competition was carried out in the 56th Rikou-Exhibition of Waseda University at the Nishi-Waseda Riko campus, Tokyo on Nov. 8th, 2009. The 1st Robot competition was carried out on Nov. 3rd, 2008.

The main event was ROBO-ONE tournament and a popularity vote to the robot was also carried out from seeing the fight. For the boys visited the robot competition, robot operating experience was also carried out and a lot of boys enjoyed the robot operating.


Twenty-one robots joined the competition. About the half of robot owner were sudent and the rest was working members of the socity.


The winner of the tournament was Chrom-Kid (Kupapa). The 2nd place was De-KAHRU (Douraku). The No.1 popular robot was Dyuminus and the 2nd place was Phantom. The video of the tourment were as follows:

Semifinal, De-KAHRU vs Shaftgrum. De-KAHRU was the winner.


Final match, Chrom-Kid vs De-KAHRU. Chrom-Kid was the winner.

Robot Battle Competition in Waseda University (Nov 3, 2008)

Robot battle competition sponsored Waseda University Robot Club was carried out at Takanobaba ( JR Yamanote Line) , Tokyo on Nov. 3rd, 2008.

Fifteen robots, Mr. Boon, Rvie-K, KRS-2, Sekito, Deshumit, Aonori3, BLACK TIGER NEO, Danball, Perseus, MetalArthur, DeCarle, Ryuki2, Gram, etc. joined the competition. BLACK TIGER NEO and Rvie-K were autonomous controlled and others were radio controlled.


At first each robot demonstrated its characteristics then tournament battle stared at 11:30 am . The winner was Aonori3 (KIMURA). The 2nd place was MetalArthur (Shounan Tech. Univ.), the 3rd place was Gram (Shibaura Tech. Univ.). The final round video is as follows:
