Robot Festival 2009 in SHIBAURA INSTITUTE OF TECHNOLOGY (May 17th, 2009)

Robot Festival 2009 sponsored was carried out in SHIBAURA INSTITUTE OF TECHNOLOGY, on May 17th, 2009. Twenty biped robots joined the competition. ROBO-ONE tournament, a robot fight was carried out. The major regulation was followed that of the 14th ROBO-ONE. The weight of robot was also 3 kg or under 3 kg.


Battle Block, a team game was also carried out. Robot carry rubber cubes to the own territory, and the team which gets more cubes win the game.

The winner of the tournament was Chrome-Kid, the second place was Garoo and the third place was Cavalier. The tournament videos are as follows;

Robot Professional Wrestling Match, Dekinnoka 3 in Akihabara on May 5th 2009.

Robot Professional Wrestling Match, Dekinnoka 3, sponsored by Mr. Omata was carried out at ROBOSPOT in Akihabara on May 5th 2009. He explained the 'Robot Professional Wrestling' was not 'Wrestling' but 'Fighting Arts'. The purpose was not only robot fight but also to inform pleasure of robot. `Dekinnoka` in Japanese, means `Can you do it?`. The video of 'Dekinnoka 2`
which was carried out on Feb. 7th, 2009 in Nagai, has been uploaded by Mr. Omata.

For 'Robot Professional Wrestling Match, Dekinnoka 3', the ring surrounded by 3 ropes with red and blue corner like real 'Professional Wrestling` was prepared at ROBOSPOT in Akihabara.

The first fight was a single match, Future Fight : Karuma vs Zerufa. The blue corner robot was Karuma. The red corner robot was Zerufar. Both robots’ builders are young and are expected to be Dekinnoka fighter robot builders. Zerufar won the fight.


The second fight was a single match. The blue corner robot was GAT, a big robot. The red corner robot was Nagare-Gold from Nagarenger Kanto-headquarters. GAT won the single match.


The third fight was a single match. The blue corner robot is Nagare-BLACK TIGER from Nagaranger Kanto-headquarters. The red corner robot were three KOMETAs. Nagare-BLACK TIGER was a autonomous robot and three KOMETAs were synchronized radio controlled. At first a KOMETA fought with a single body, and then the KOMETA was divided into three bodies when the original KOMETA with red ribbon knocked down. Nagare-BLACK TIGER had to fight with three KOMETAs. When Nagare-BLACK TIGER could knocked down the original KOMETA body with red ribbon, he could won the fight. Nagare-BLACK TIGER won the fight.


The fourth fight was a ramble match, a time difference Battle Royal fight. Every 1 min, a KHR robot entered to the ring. The robot left on the ring would be the winner of the fight.


The fifth fight was the Kanto Heavy Weight Tag Championship title match. The blue corner robots were Cavalia and DeCarle. The red corner robots were Sakura2 and rsv3. Each one robot fights in the ring. When a robot touched to the other robot body, the robot could fight in the ring instead of the former robot. Sakura2 and rsv3 won the fight and kept the champion velts.


The sixth fight was the Kanto Heavy Weight Championship Title Match. The blue corner robot was the challenger Dyuminus. The red corner robot was the Kanto Heavy Weight Champion, Saga. Saga won the title match and kept the champion belt.


The final match was a single match, main event Kumataro Rivival Match. The blue corner robot was Garue. The red corner robot was Kumataro who was once retired by his injured legs at Dekinnoka in Soka. The injured legs have already recovered and he wanted to fight. However, Kumataro was defeated by Garue.

The 15th ROBO-ONE Biped Robot Tournament in Kawasaki ( May 4, 2009)

The 15th ROBO-ONE Biped Robot Tournament sponsored by ROBO-ONE Committee was carried out in Kawasaki, on May 4th, 2009. Thirty-seven biped robots joined the tournament. Twenty one robots were winners of the local robot competition. Twelve robots were ROBO-ONE GP (grand prix) robot which was authorized by ROBO-ONE Committee as GP robot. Four robots from Korea also joined the tournament.

The major regulation in the 15th ROBO-ONE was the weight of robot, which was 3 kg or under 3 kg. Robot had to fight by just punching in the 1st stage of the tournament. Then roots had to fight by just throwing as Judo or wrestling in the 2nd stage. Form 3rd stage to final match robots could fight punching and/or throwing.

The winner was Bi-Ma from Korea, the second place was automo 05 and the third place was rsv3.

The 2nd KONDO BATTLE in Akihabara (May 3rd, 2009)

The 2nd KONDO BATTLE sponsored by KONDO KAGAKU CO., LTD was carried out on May 3rd, 2009 at Clark Memorial International High School, in Akihabara, TOKYO. The 2nd KONDO BATTLE had three tournaments which were Exhibition Class, Open Class and Student Class. Exhibition Class could be joined who has the right to join the 15th ROBO-ONE in Kawasaki on May 4th, 2009. The Open class winner could get a right to join the 15th ROBO-ONE tournament. Student Class winner also could get a right to join the 15th ROBO-ONE tournament.


The main regulation was the weight of robot, which have to be 3 kg or under 3 kg. Thirty robots; Exhibition Class was 9, Open Class was 12 and Student Class was 9, joined the competition.

The winner of Exhibition Class was Garue (Kumama), Open Class was Gargoil (Yoshida Familia), Student Class was Dorukas (SHIBAUA INSTITUTE TECHNOLOGY). Gargoil and Dorukas got the right to join the 15th ROBO-ONE tournament would be carried out on next day, May 4th, 2009.

The topic of this competition, BLACK TIGER NEO which was autonomous robot, could won 2 robots which were radio controlled in the Open Class.

The 2nd Wandahoo Robot Carnival Petit in TOKYO BIG SIGHT (Apr. 29, 2009)

Robot competition, "The 2nd Wandahoo Robot Carnival Petit" in the 6th MONO CREATOR FESTIVAL 2009, sponsored by Mr. Ishikawa was carried out in TOKYO BIG SIGHT West 3 Hall, on Apr. 29th, 2009. Wandahoo Robot Carnival carries out two times, winter and summer, every year sponsored by Mr. Ishikawa who is the president of ‘Kanto (Tokyo region)-Gumi (group) Robot Training Meeting’. Every robot, not only biped robot but also with many legs could join the competition. The competition is administered by members of `Kanto-Gumi Robot Training Meeting`

Thirty robots joined the competition. Three types game, 2m foot race, Basket carrying race (pushing or pulling basket with 500ml-bottles for 1.5m within 1 min) and dice soccer ( points are depended on the spots of dice shot) was carried out.
The competition stared at 12:00 and ended 17:00. Just four robots; Sarga(Igaa), Σ(Shimaken),automo 05 Go-Wan(holypong) and Striker(Hiroki), which got much point from the three games, could join the final battle match. The results of the final match were as follows. The winner was Sarga. The 2nd place was automo 05 Go-Wan. The 3rd place were Σ and Striker.

Thirty robots were also divided into 2 teams, red team or white team. In the case of competition of two team’s robots, winner robot team got points. The winning team was red team.


At the end of the competition, ramble fight with 30 robots was carried out. The ring seemed to be too small to join all 30 robots.
