The 25th KONDO CUP Robot Soccer Game KHR Class and Animal Soccer (June 18, 2011)

The 25th KONDO CUP Robot Soccer Game KHR Class and Animal Soccer Demo Game took place at ROBOSPOT in Akihabara on June 18th, 2011. The games were shown on `USTREAM KONDO CUP Channel` from 1:00 pm to 4:00 pm (JST) and the final game video is keeping in the Channel.

KONDO CUP, Robot Soccer Game started on June 5th, 2006. Almost every 2 month, KONDO Co. Ltd. held the games at ROBOSPOT for two days, on Saturday and Sunday. There are two classes, one is KHR Class which KHR-series robot such as KHR-1, 1HV, 2HV, 3HV can attend KHR Class game. KHR robots changed 4 and less than 4 high-torque servos such as KRS-4013HV, KRS-4014HV, KRS-2350HV also attend KHR Class game. The other class, Open Class which robots using just KONDO servo motor can attend Open Class game and the number of high-torque servo is not limited.

In the 25th KHR Class game, the first half was 5 minutes, halftime 1 min and the second half was 5 minutes. One team is consisted with 3 or 4 robots.　 Just 3 robots can play soccer in the field. The soccer field of KHR Class is smaller than that of Open Class. The regulation of robot body and rules of soccer are described in the KONDO’s web site.

Four teams joined the KHR Class had a preliminary league. Teams joined were Kanto-Branch, Nihon Kogakuin College of Hachioji, RFC Autumnleaf, and Individual-team TAKE. Preliminary league had 6 games. Final game was carried out between the 1st place team and 2nd place team of the preliminary league.

Preliminary League, the 1st game, Kanto-branch vs Nihon Kogakuin College of Hachioji ended in a draw. Kanto-branch team members were Zaura, Scarumachine and BLACK TIGER. Nihon Kogakuin College of Hachioji team members were Hachi, Tama, Pochi and Shiro. Video was as follows;



Preliminary League 1st place was Individual-team TAKE and the 2nd place was RFC Autumnleaf. RFC Autumnleaf team members were Zerufar, Kurorin, Emia-senshu and Makingnow. The winner was TAKE, which team members were Saaga, Searu, MERC-1 and MERC-2. Results of KHR Class were described here. Final game video was as follows;



Animal Soccer Game
In the interval of the preliminary League, Animal Soccer, a demo game took place with 2 teams, which was the first animal soccer game joined custom-built robots. One team was Turtle team consisted with 3 turtle robots, KONDO Turtle Robot 01 and the other team was mixed multi-legged robot team consisted with BLACK TIGER L44, custom-built 4-legged robot by IKETOMU, Wani-Wani, custom-built 4-legged robot by KENTA and 6-legged robot, KONDO KMR-M6.



Animal soccer game was seemed to be looked like a rugby game but was much excited. Turtle team won the game 1-0. It was hard for multi-legged robot to kick the ball. KHR Class soccer ball used in the game also seems to be too small for robot with log size multi-legs because the ball passed through under the body and could not be dribbled.
