ROBO-ONE Light 13th sponsored by Biped Robot Association, took place at Kanagawa-Kenritsu-Seishounen-Center in Yokohama City, Kanagawa Pref. on Sep 24th, 2016. ROBO-ONE Light 13th took place on Sep 24th, 4.5m Footrace took place as the preliminary ROBO-ONE 29th Tournament on Sep 24th and the main event ROBO-ONE 29th Final Tournament took place on Sep 25th.
ROBO-ONE Light 13th
ROBO-ONE Light is a robot fight tournament for robots on the market, which are officially recognized by ROBO-ONE Committee. Beginner, who gets robot from the market and want to attend the ROBO-ONE Tournament, can attend the competition with his robot which is made from just robot kit. Custom-built robot, just the weight 1 kg or under (UK1) also can attend the tournament.
The regulations are as follows;
1) Officially recognized robot regulation
Robots on the market, officially recognized by ROBO-ONE Committee, can attend the competition whether the robot adapt ROBO-ONE 29th and Light 13th regulation .
2) Custom-built robot weight except for the officially recognized robot is 1 kg or under (UK1). Custom-built robot has to adapt ROBO-ONE 29th and Light 13th regulation.
In the tournament, custom-built robots handicapped by about 500 g compared with officially recognized kits such as KHR-3HV. It was interesting that how builder of custom robot UK1 overcame the weight handicap and which robot kit was able to win the tournament. However, it is necessary for getting championship of robot fight tournament to carry 3 important factors such as good body, good motion and good control.
Seventy-six robots joined the 13th tournament. More than 45 robots were custom-built robot, UK1 (1kg or under). Other robots were officially recognized robots such as KHR-3HV.
In the 13th tournament, custom-built UK1 robots could not overcome the weight handicap 500g. The Champion, GANGA by Ataro, was a officially recognized kits, KHR-3HV. The 2nd place Simple Fighter light by zeno was a custom-built robot. The 3rd place OneShot by Osaka Electro-Communication University JiyukoubouHRP was a custom-built robot. The 4th place Momotaro by Osaka Sangyo University was also a custom-built robot. The results are here.
Broadcasting service was carried out by niconico LIVE and the videos were keeping in this site. Osuka-san also uploaded some videos of ROBO-ONE Light 13th to his YouTube Channel.
For the 3rd Place Match; Momotaro vs OneShot
The winner was OneShot. Oneshot won using a major throwing technique.
Final Match; Simple Fighter light vs GANGA
The winner was GANGA.
